Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-09.

This policy describes the personal information TaxView collects, how it is used, and your rights over it.

What we collect
  • Account data. Email address and authentication metadata supplied through Clerk when you sign up or sign in.
  • Account inputs. The strategy, benchmark, customizations, jurisdiction, funding amount, and any other parameters you submit when opening an account.
  • Optimizer artifacts. The holdings, lots, and run records the platform produces for your account.
  • Operational logs. Standard request and error logs needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
Your information is used to operate the platform — authenticating you, persisting your accounts and runs, and rendering the console. Aggregated, non-identifying telemetry may be used to understand usage and improve the product.
Third-party processors
We rely on a small set of third-party services that process data on our behalf, including authentication (Clerk), hosting and database (Render, Neon), object storage (Cloudflare R2), and error monitoring (Sentry, when enabled). Each provider handles your data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is open. On request we will delete your account and associated records, subject to any legal obligation to retain certain information.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Requests can be sent to the contact address on the disclosures page.
Cookies
Authentication cookies are required to keep you signed in. We do not run advertising trackers.
Changes
We may update this policy. The current version always lives at this page; material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date.
